We depart in the morning to \"Unguja Ukuu,\" one of the oldest settlements in Zanzibar, for an authentic
cultural experience that allows us to connect directly with locals and learn abouttheir daily lives.
We start with a visit to a primary school, where we dress in traditional Zanzibari attire and interact with
the children and teaching staff. We then take a walking tour through the village to explore traditional
lifestyles in homes and farms.
Next, we visit the village museum, which narrates Zanzibar\u2019s trading history and its ancient ties with the
Arab and Persian worlds, before heading to the fish marketto witness the fresh daily auction.
Afterward, we move to The Flora Restaurant to participate in a Swahili cooking workshop led by local
chefs, preparing dishes such as octopus stew, pilau, or chapati, using organic ingredients from nature.
Following lunch, women from the \"Flora Mamas\" join us to teach local handicrafts like basket weaving
and henna painting. We conclude the day with a group photo and free time to relax at the pool or
